WHAT DO EXPATS THINK ABOUT VALENCIA?

Valencia was highlighted not only in the overall ranking but numerous other subcategories, including the “Quality of Life Index”, or the “Ease of Settling in Index”, among others!

The annual “Expat Insider” survey, one of the most extensive surveys on living/working abroad, shows how expats rate their satisfaction on the following 5 categories:

.

QUALITY OF LIFE
Valencia is in 1st place as well when it comes to “Quality of Life Index”. Expats strongly highlight the healthy environment and the affordability and efficacy of public transport.

.

EASE OF SETTLING IN
Expats describe the friendliness of local residents and the wide offer of activities and facilities of the city.

.

PERSONAL FINANCE
Expats remark the affordability of the cost of living.

.

WORKING ABROAD
Expats living in Valencia consider it a safe environment and a stable local economy.

.

EXPATS ESSENTIALS
The «expats essentials» refer to the city’s ability to cover people’s basic needs. Expats highlight affordable housing, affordable healthcare, health and well-being, and easy access to medical services as some of the most convenient parts of living in Valencia.

.

DIGITAL NOMAD VISA!

Foreigners may complain mostly about bureaucracy, but the truth is Spain is already working on the creation of a new type of visa for digital nomads, so it will get easier for citizens from the UK as well as other non-EU countries to work remotely from Spain, without the need to apply for full work permit.

This initiative will allow remote workers to come and settle in Spain with the only requirement of the proof of their employment, qualification and experience. The visa will initially be valid for a period of one year, with the possibility of renewal for following years.

.

To sum up, expats place Valencia in the top spot for being livable, friendly and affordable: a safe place with an exceptional climate, a vibrant nightlife and culture, a pleasant urban environment and great travel opportunities!

If you’re a digital nomad looking for a daily dose of sunshine and culture, Valencia is waiting for you!
