As a new year begins, we wanted to catch up with our coworking community. We spoke to José, one of our coworkers who joined us in 2020, about his experience in Valencia, his time with us at International Coworking Valencia and his thoughts on coworking during the pandemic.
Here’s the full interview:
I’ve always heard good things about Valencia, from its sights and history to its weather and food. On top of this, I already have friends in the city, so I decided to give it a go. It is conveniently connected to major European cities so moving to Valencia was rather easy. Lastly, Valencia (the city and the region) is doing a good job in handling the pandemic, relative to other cities in Spain and Europe.
It has been 3 months since I left Paris and started to work remotely in Valencia. The city has a lot to offer, and it makes living here fun and exciting. It is also affordable which suits my goal of both saving some money and enjoying it at the same time!
I liked it because it is conveniently located in the city and it has a spectacular view of the city too! Also the people are very friendly and accommodating which makes it a nice place to go to work each day.
Its location, services, and price.
It is definitely worth it for someone who is on a shoestring budget while working remotely.
You can still enjoy the perks of coworking with both necessary precautions and more flexibility. The pandemic allowed me to work remotely 100% but also made me more cautious on deciding how to do it, including which coworking space would be best for me.
Wearing of masks and social distancing are strictly observed and implemented in the coworking space. Hand sanitizers are available and must be used upon entry and regularly. My temperature is also checked every time I enter. Also, they make sure that they sanitize everything regularly.
It’s a very diverse community – you have freelancers, those working remotely for a company, and Spanish language learners who study in the language school in the same space.
Definitely, it is highly recommended to remote workers in Valencia!
Its location is perfect as it’s near two central metro stations and a stone’s throw from Calle Colón and the Old Town. The staff are very friendly and helpful and its amenities will allow you to be both comfortable and productive at the same time during your stay in Valencia.
